I’ve been promising you a tour of our new motorhome for about a month now, so here it is. We were finally able to get everything sorted and situated enough to show you our new home. We are so grateful for how God has worked in this situation and are truly loving our new normal. Anyway, we hope you enjoy the tour. (BTW, I apologize for sounding out of breath in the video. While the weather has been beautiful in our area, the pollen has been immense and has wreaked havoc on my allergies.)

Which Dwarf Am I Today?

Over the past few weeks, I’ve (Dana) been juggling my dwarf identities. Some days, I’m Happy—like the days we spent in a missions conference in Maryville, TN with some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and our current trip to Elizabeth City, NC. Other days, I’m Sleepy—also like the time spent in missions conference when we stayed up into the wee hours of the morning, laughing and talking with fellow believers. In recent days, I’ve been Sneezy, thanks to seasonal allergies and those stinky Bradford Pear trees. And unfortunately, most days I’m Dopey, unable to remember where I am, what day it is, and what I’m supposed to be doing at any given time. As for Grumpy, well, he’s certainly reared his head a few times, I’m ashamed to say.

What a Blur!

The past couple of weeks have been a blur of activity. We’ve been in three different missions conferences, eight churches, two hotel rooms, two prophet’s chambers, and four states. Wow! I get tired just saying that. The good news is, all of our meetings were a real blessing, and we saw God move in miraculous ways. We witnessed two souls come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We saw a “small” church (based on mere numbers) pledge nearly $200,000 to missions, and based on their track record, they’ll exceed what they’ve promised. We were taken on for monthly support by two of the churches we were in, and others indicated they would likely be supporting us in the near future. Yes, over the past weeks, we’ve seen God prove His power, provision, and faithfulness.

This is just a quick update to let you know what’s going on with the house, the motorhome, and our ministry. A friend of mine recently told me that our life was never boring. Boy, is he right! But who likes boring? So, there you have it.

Okay, the electrician is starting the work on the house today. We’re not really sure how long the process will take, but we do know we’re leaving on Sunday for a week and a half of mission conferences. So, it will probably be the middle of February before the house actually goes back on the market. We can only trust God has a reason for the many delays we’ve encountered thus far.

On a positive note, we spoke with the “motorhome man” yesterday to let him know about this newest development and timeline. We wanted him to know that we completely understood if he could no longer hold the RV for us or if he needed us to give him more money to continue to hold it. We were blown away when he told us he was content to leave things as they were and was happy to keep working with us. On top of that, he offered to send some of his hired help over to help with the electrical repairs on the house at no charge to us. Can you believe that? If that’s not God working on our behalf, I don’t know what is! This news has done much to bolster our spirits and lighten our hearts. It’s always a blessing to see God working.

You’re probably wondering about the title of this particular update. It’s in reference to one of our drop-ins this past week. We didn’t have anything on the schedule last Sunday, so we dropped in on a couple of different churches. In the morning, God blessed us with a great service, and Jason even had the opportunity to preach. In the evening, we traveled to another local church and arrived about twenty minutes before the service was scheduled to begin. We sat in the parking lot until five minutes AFTER the service was supposed to start, and no one ever showed up. (This is the second time we’ve had this experience.) Not wanting to show up late to service at another church, we returned home and watched our church’s service online.

As I said earlier, life is never boring. There’s always something to make us laugh. . .and sometimes cry. But, the life of a missionary on deputation is never, ever boring.

We’d appreciate your prayers as we head out Sunday to travel to Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Our car is currently having mechanical difficulties, so we’ll be taking our Xterra. It has nearly 300,000 miles on it, but it’s still running strong, so we pray it will stay that way.
