What a Blur!
/The past couple of weeks have been a blur of activity. We’ve been in three different missions conferences, eight churches, two hotel rooms, two prophet’s chambers, and four states. Wow! I get tired just saying that. The good news is, all of our meetings were a real blessing, and we saw God move in miraculous ways. We witnessed two souls come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We saw a “small” church (based on mere numbers) pledge nearly $200,000 to missions, and based on their track record, they’ll exceed what they’ve promised. We were taken on for monthly support by two of the churches we were in, and others indicated they would likely be supporting us in the near future. Yes, over the past weeks, we’ve seen God prove His power, provision, and faithfulness.
In addition to that, God truly came through with our house situation. We were wondering how we would finish the electrical work that needed to be done when we were scheduled to be away so much of this month, but God had a plan. Our realtor, along with his brother-in-law and some other help, worked tirelessly while we were away and finished the rewiring. All that was left for us to do when we arrived home was to do some final cleanup and staging. Is that God or what? We are completely overwhelmed by such kindness and generosity!
Because of their efforts, we were able to list the house again on Valentine’s Day and had three offers within the first couple of days. The house is now under contract (again), and we’re praying all will go well this time with the inspection and appraisal. In the meantime, the man who is holding the motorhome for us seems content to wait until our closing, which is scheduled for mid-March. This is another miracle, and we thank God for how He is working in this situation.
We’ll be leaving out next week and heading for Tennessee. After that, we have a couple of weeks in local meetings, which will be helpful to us as we can be here to handle the dealings with the sale of the house. Once all of that is settled, we hope it will be easier to focus more of our attention on deputation and not feel so distracted.
The Downeys, the missionaries we will be working with, mentioned in their newsletter that they’re praying for us to be in Wales by March of next year. We’ve been looking at travel arrangements that have us arriving in April of next year. Either one would be great, but it will take the Lord. We’re currently at 32%, so we have a long way to go. Your thoughts, prayers, and support are greatly appreciated. Please help us pray the Lord will get us to Wales by the spring of next year if it is His will. Our hearts are already there, and we long to join them!
