Though I wasn't raised in a Christian home, I had the opportunity to attend a Christian school. It was there, during my sixth-grade year, I learned what it meant to be saved and surrendered my life to Jesus. Since then, I have had the privilege to see my dad saved and both parents now faithfully attending and serving at our church. It just goes to show what a difference a single life can make, and I'm holding to that truth as we minister in Wales.
I graduated from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC, with a degree in Theology and have since been called to preach and ordained. Before our call to Wales, my wife and I served at Bible Baptist Church in Pickens for over 18 years, fulfilling roles mostly in the youth and music departments but also stepping up to do whatever needed to be done. I love my church family, and it was sad to leave them, but God has placed such a burden on my heart for Wales that I cannot imagine doing anything else.

I was raised in a Christian home and made a profession of faith at the age of six. Later, however, I realized my "salvation" that day had been nothing more than my desire to fit in with the rest of the class who had all raised their hands to indicate they were saved. When the teacher had me pray the salvation prayer with her, I thought that was all there was to it, but I soon discovered it was much more, and I gave my life to the Lord. I have spent every day since trying to walk in His will.
I graduated from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and spent nine years teaching kindergarten and lower elementary. In 2006, the Lord called me away from teaching and into the ministry of writing and speaking. Now, the Lord has opened another exciting door of opportunity, and I cannot wait to see what He's going to do here in Wales!
