Glad Reunion Day

Glad Reunion Day

This weekend was one of memories and reunions. It began on Friday, June 21st when Jason and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Though we weren’t able to spend much time together due to Jason’s work schedule, we managed a nice dinner out on Saturday.

On Sunday, we celebrated another milestone—the one-year anniversary of our surrender to the call of missions. This was an exciting time for us, and the Lord worked it out where we could spend the day surrounded by life-long friends.

God Knows Best

God Knows Best

We had a meeting scheduled for this past Sunday, April 7th, but due to a scheduling conflict, we had to postpone that meeting until later in the year. As we discovered on Sunday, God had a plan all along.

Since we no longer had anything scheduled, we decided on a couple of drop-ins. On Sunday morning, we visited with the charming people of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mauldin, SC. And what a joy it was to play such a beautiful instrument in a time of worship! I also had the privilege to sing during the morning service.

Though Jason and I are just beginning our missionary journey and haven’t even begun our work on the field, we can already relate to a few of the points the writer states in the following article. We’ve also had the opportunity to hang around enough missionaries in the past few months to know that what is said here is true. Very sad, but true. I share this today as a reminder to pray for and reach out to missionaries across the world. We’re people too, and we need your love, prayers, and encouragement.
