With All the Many Miracles

As I write this update, we're cruising down the interstate on our way to a missions conference in Texas. All the while, a familiar song plays in the back of my mind. “With all the many miracles, why don't you think it's possible? With all the many things we've seen, why do you think it's just a dream? With all the things He's done for us, don't you think it's time we trust? Remember what is possible with all the many miracles.”

Over the past couple of weeks, we've seen God work miracles in our lives, and we're still marveling at the way He brought everything about. The biggest of these miracles was how God provided a new home for our sweet dog, Barnabas. As most of you know, we've been praying about this for months and have been actively seeking someone to take him in and love him as part of the family. With our fall schedule full of out-of-town meetings, we knew if we didn't have a home for Barnabas before leaving for this Texas trip, we would have no choice but to surrender him to the animal shelter. The closer we got to this trip, the more our hearts sank, but God came through right on time. The day before we left for this journey, Barnabas was placed in a good home with a sweet young lady who is determined to make a good life for him. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and cannot explain what a burden has been lifted in knowing our precious pup will have a happy home. God is so good, and even when it seems He's running late, He's right on time.

We were not able to finish the updates on our house before leaving for this conference as we had hoped, but we are close. With the busy deputation schedule we have over the next few weeks, it's likely we won't have the house on the market until late October or early November, but we're trusting that God's timing is best as He's already proven that to us. So, we'll work on the house when we can and trust God to bring everything together when the time is right.

Along with these other blessings, we had two churches take us on for monthly support last week and a couple more that have indicated they will likely be taking us on in the near future. Praise the Lord for His great provision!

We are in awe at the strength and energy God has given us during the past few months. The days have been long, but God has kept us going and enabled us to juggle working on the house, finding a home for Barnabas, and managing deputation. There were times we wondered if we were going to make it through and times we really felt the weight of the many decisions and obligations we faced, but God gave grace and guidance. Yes, though the past few months have been physically, emotionally, and even spiritually exhausting, it has been so exciting to see God work in and through all of these situations. Our faith has been tested, but through it all, God has been good!

Thank you for your love, prayers, and support on our behalf. Please continue to lift us up in prayer as we travel many, many miles over the next couple of months and do our best to encourage others in the faith while presenting our burden for the people of Wales.
