What Is This "New Normal" People Are Talking About?
/We keep hearing people talk about the “new normal” we’ll face once all this craziness is over. New or old, it doesn’t matter—normal is normal! While we’ve had plenty to keep us busy, we long to finish raising our support so we can get to Wales. Our hearts are there, and we so long to join them. We had hoped to be finished with deputation and ready to make our move by spring of next year, but at this point, it will take a miracle. Fortunately, we know Someone who specializes in such things.
The good news is this downtime has given us the opportunity to work on several projects. Jason has been busy helping both his and my parents with various tasks such as mowing the lawn, repairing porch steps, building decks, and moving furniture around. Meanwhile, I’ve been helping to plan and prepare for next year’s UK ladies’ meeting, doing some writing and Bible study videos, and polishing my piano skills. Additionally, we’ve done some dog sitting and helped out with various jobs around our home church. In short, we’ve been busy and, in some ways, enjoying the time off, but we’re ready to get back on the road.
This past Sunday, we had our first meeting since all of this coronavirus mess started. Jason was given the opportunity to present our burden and preach. At the end of the service, the pastor made a motion that the church take us on for monthly support. The church agreed, and now—praise the Lord!!!—we’re one step closer to Wales.
Despite the uncertainty and chaos in the world, God is still good. He’s taking care of us, and we can’t thank Him enough for His many blessings. We’re safe in His hands and doing our best to trust in His timing.
We thank you for your faithful prayers and support. Please continue to lift us up to the Lord and help us pray for open doors and many opportunities to not only present our burden but also to present the gospel of Christ. God bless you!
