An Unexpected Surprise

As I mentioned earlier, the downtime during our trip to Milan, Tennessee gave Jason the opportunity to get on the phone and make some contacts for potential meetings. One of the calls he made was to a friend of ours who is the assistant pastor at a local church. The intent of the call was to book a meeting for sometime in the future, but the assistant pastor informed us that was not necessary. Because of our connections with the church and some of the staff, the assistant asked us if we could drop off some information for him to mention at the next quarterly meeting with the deacons, which happened to be just a few days away. The day we arrived home from Tennessee, we dropped our information off at the church office. Just a couple of days later, we received a phone call letting us know the church had decided to take us on for monthly support. We were so excited! What a blessing! We didn’t have to schedule a meeting, set up a display, or share our burden. All we had to do was send in our information and leave the rest in God’s hands. This was such an emotional boost to us because it served as a reminder that God will provide all our needs.
