Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

As I type this entry, we’re rolling down the road on our way to a Preacher’s Prayer Fellowship in Georgia. We’ll spend the day and night, then plan to leave out first thing in the morning for Fernandina Beach, FL, where we’ll be starting another missions conference Wednesday evening. We’re looking forward to meeting more new friends and possibly reacquainting with some missionaries we’ve met along the way.

One thing I’m quickly discovering about deputation is that it’s easy to lose track of what day it is and even what state you’re in. Since our home is always with us, I sometimes forget we’re not parked at our church. I’m so thankful for calendars and our wall clock that not only tells the time but also the day and date. That is valuable information these days!

From North Carolina to Ohio (and Kentucky)

From North Carolina to Ohio (and Kentucky)

The past couple of weeks have been absolutely amazing. First, we went to Magnolia, NC for my cousin’s wedding. Allow me to set the stage for you. Because the groom is currently in the military and under strict regulations due to COVID, the couple was not able to have their wedding at their home church. They had to marry somewhere in North Carolina because the groom could not leave the state. This left them scrambling to find a church that would allow them to use the facilities. The Lord blessed and led them to one of the sweetest churches we’ve ever visited. The pastor, his wife, and the people were so very kind even though they didn’t even know the bride and groom or any of the family. The wedding was beautiful, and it was such a joy to be there and to see some of my family from Delaware. We even got to host a few family dinners in our motorhome. How cool is that!!!

Home Again. . .For a Bit

Home Again. . .For a Bit

We’re home from Tennessee, and all I can say is it was a wonderful couple of weeks. We were able to meet with several different churches in the area, some of which indicated they would like to have us back to present our work in full. So, we’re excited about the opportunities there. The churches also took such good care of us in love offerings and providing us a place to park our motorhome during our stay. We enjoyed a special patriotic service honoring our armed forces and law enforcement. One of the churches had the most scenic parking lot I’ve ever seen while another had a lovely spot for meeting with the Lord. Just a few little ways God poured out His love on us.

God Comes Through Once Again

God Comes Through Once Again

We are currently in Harriman, TN, where we were invited to join in for a missions emphasis month at a local church. Since we don’t have any other meetings booked until July, we decided to spend a couple of weeks in this area and drop in on some of the churches in this area. So far, we’ve been truly blessed and have had a wonderful time of worship and fellowship.

As this is our first trip since getting our motorhome, I can now tell you how much better of an experience this has been. I can’t explain how wonderful it is to be “at home” even when we’re away from home. Each night, we get to sleep in our own bed, and each day, we can work or relax in our own space. This is so different from living in hotels and prophet’s chambers, not that those are not appreciated. The other great thing is that having a place to stay allows us to remain in an area longer rather than having to be in and out. All in all, this trip has reminded us how thankful we are for God’s provision. We love our motorhome!

No Need To Doubt Him Now

No Need To Doubt Him Now

Well, it’s certainly been an interesting few months, hasn’t it? That being said, God is still good, and He is still blessing. Yes, my friends, there’s no need to doubt Him now.

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been doing some drop-ins—some at churches that already support us and others at churches we pray will be able to start supporting us. A few of the churches even gave us love offerings even though we weren’t scheduled for a meeting. What a blessing! With many churches having adjusted service times or attendance limitations, it’s been trickier than usual to figure out where to go, but God hasn’t led us astray, so we’ll keep trusting Him to guide us where we need to be.
