Change Is in the Air
So I'm out here today walking Tess and it is very typical fall, Welsh day, as you can see, it's very overcast. It's not actually raining today, which is a blessing, but I don't know if you can see the wind on the trees and everything behind me. It's actually kind of calm right this second.
It's been blowing like crazy. I mean to the point where it will just about knock you down. We've had to kind of fight through it a little bit. There comes some more of it, but this is just a typical day here in the fall in Wales. So this is kind of what we get to walk to each day, but we still have the beautiful view. So I'm thankful for that.
As you can see from the video, fall is in full-force here in Wales and is quickly moving toward winter. While we don't see the drastic changes in temperature throughout the day that many places see, we deal with a lot of wind and rain during the fall and winter months.
But, as I mentioned before, the abundance of rain also leads to an abundance of rainbows!
Tess has snuggled her way into our hearts and is loving her life with us. She enjoys hiking and exploring old castles during our weekly hike day.
And as you can see quite clearly, she loves a good snuggle.
We've spent a lot of time over the past couple of weeks getting ready for the Christmas Carol service we'll be holding at Bethania.
I've designed flyers and flower arrangements while Jason's been busy letterboxing the community and inviting everyone to come out for the special event.
Speaking of special events, last Sunday, we celebrated Remembrance Day, which is the UK version of Veteran's Day. The morning consisted of the community gathering around the town clock for a service dedicated to remembering those who have fought for our freedoms.
A few key spiritual leaders in the community were involved in the service, and Ron Downey was invited to read a passage of Scripture.
It was a moving service, and we enjoyed being able to witness it.
The Lord has opened up the doors for Jason to preach in several chapels in the surrounding communities. We have more events in the works and are continuing to pray the Lord will work in a mighty way here in Wales.
