God Comes Through Once Again
We are currently in Harriman, TN, where we were invited to join in for a missions emphasis month at a local church. Since we don’t have any other meetings booked until July, we decided to spend a couple of weeks in this area and drop in on some of the churches in this area. So far, we’ve been truly blessed and have had a wonderful time of worship and fellowship.
As this is our first trip since getting our motorhome, I can now tell you how much better of an experience this has been. I can’t explain how wonderful it is to be “at home” even when we’re away from home. Each night, we get to sleep in our own bed, and each day, we can work or relax in our own space. This is so different from living in hotels and prophet’s chambers, not that those are not appreciated. The other great thing is that having a place to stay allows us to remain in an area longer rather than having to be in and out. All in all, this trip has reminded us how thankful we are for God’s provision. We love our motorhome!
On Sunday, we had the opportunity to fellowship with some former missionaries—one to Honduras and the other to Australia. We had a wonderful time together and spent the afternoon sharing stories and offering encouragement.
Monday, we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary by visiting The Appalachian Museum. It was so much fun to see the history there and to watch the wildlife (particularly the peacocks) roaming the property. I didn’t enjoy the moment a long black snake slithered up just a few inches in front of my foot, but other than that, it was such an enjoyable day. Below are some pictures for you to enjoy.
The rest of the time, we’ve been busy booking meetings, and let me tell you, when you ask God to open doors, you better believe He’ll do it. He’s allowed us to book several meetings over the course of the next several months, and it looks like we’ll be doing quite a bit of traveling. I, personally, am excited about the meetings we have booked out West as I’ve only been in that area once and am looking forward to seeing some of the sights while we’re out that way.
All in all, despite the craziness our world is currently experiencing, we’re doing well, and God is blessing. Thank you for your love and support, but most of all, for your prayers.
