Time to Catch Up
You’ve probably noticed it’s been a while since our last update, and for that, I apologize. Between traveling, working, and dealing with some health issues, life has been more than hectic. But, I guess that’s the life of a missionary on deputation, right?
In all seriousness, over the past month, we’ve been in several meetings and revivals across the upstate of South Carolina and had the opportunity to meet some precious new friends in Christ. Even though most of our meetings have been drop-ins, the Lord has blessed us financially and given us the opportunity to share our burden nearly everywhere we’ve been. It’s been exciting to watch God move!
In the past few weeks, we’ve also been dealing with the issue of re-homing our sweet pup, Barnabas. We are hoping to find someone local who will be willing and able to give him a good home, but so far, we’ve not found such an individual. We have had a couple of people out of state offer to take him, so we’re praying about these kind offers. We want to make the transition as easy on Barnabas as possible rather than just dumping him off in a strange place and leaving him. As you can imagine, this has been difficult for us and has caused a great deal of stress, but we know God will guide us to the answer we need. Your prayers in this matter are greatly appreciated.
This week, Jason began training a new employee to take his position at his day job. If things go well, Jason will be able to go full-time on deputation by the end of May. This is truly an answer to prayer. For the past couple of weeks, he’s been working part-time only, but even that takes a toll on his strength and energy levels, so we’re looking forward to the day when he won’t have to divide his time and attention in such a way.
We have quite a few things we’re praying about for our deputation journey. God knows our hearts and our needs, and we ask you to please join us in praying for wisdom, guidance, and peace in each of these matters.
Thank you again for your love, prayers, and support. You have no idea how much we need that and how much it means to us. May God bless you and all that you do for His glory!
