Merry Christmas
It’s been a hectic and rather emotional couple of weeks.
On December 2nd, we met with the fellow who had the motorhome we liked and were pleased when he agreed to hold the RV for us until mid-January.
On December 10th, our house officially went on the market. By December 11th, we had a contract. We were so excited and even more so when the buyer fast-tracked the inspection and appraisal, hoping for an early closing.
Then, a week later, our realtor called with the news that the inspection had not gone well and the buyers were requesting to be released from the contract. In a moment, all our excitement turned to dread as we were faced with the idea of starting this process all over again.
We released the buyers, took the house off the market, and have met with electricians, handymen, etc. to assess what changes need to be made and how soon we can do them. As of right now, we’re looking at rewiring the entire house and addressing many other issues the inspector had. If all goes well, we hope to put the house back on the market after the new year. We’re praying for a quick and “uneventful” process this time around.
I’m sure you understand how difficult and frustrating this ordeal has been for us, and we want to thank each of you for your prayers on our behalf. We know God is good and that somehow, someway He will work this all out for our good and His glory. We have no idea what’s going to happen with the motorhome at this point since it is very unlikely we’ll sell the house by mid-January, but whatever happens, we’re choosing to trust God.
Now, to end on a more positive note, we want to wish each of you a very merry Christmas. May you have a blessed time with family and friends as you reflect on the reason for the season. We’ll have more news for you after the holidays. In the meantime, let’s focus on what’s truly important—the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
