It is rare to find me at a loss for words, but that’s exactly how I feel when I try to explain what a wonderful time we had last week at Temple Baptist Church in Texas. We have been in many missions-minded churches, but never have we seen such an outpouring of love and genuine concern for missionaries. We were treated like royalty, showered with gifts, and given many opportunities to share our burden with groups of all ages. It was such a joy to get to know the church members throughout the week, and we feel we’ve made several new life-long friends. We cannot thank the church enough for all they do for their missionaries. They truly go above and beyond, and it’s such a blessing.

As if our time with them wasn’t enough of a reward, the church took us—along with all the other missionaries in attendance—on for monthly support. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” Temple Baptist obviously takes this verse to heart and considers it an honor to be used by God to shower blessings upon others. Yes, every day of our stay we were loaded down with benefits. Though the trip was long and the drive grueling (especially through Dallas and Atlanta), it was definitely worth it!
