Our Interview with the Mission Board
Last Tuesday, we traveled to Georgia for our initial interview with the committee at Macedonia World Baptist Missions. To say we were nervous would be the understatement of the year. We wanted this interview to go well, but neither of us are comfortable in a setting where we are required to answer questions and pray our answers are those the committee is looking for. God gave us grace, and all in all, the interview went well. The committee was impressed by our attitudes and gave us a unanimous approval.
They are scheduled to meet with the executive board on August 23rd to present us and our ministry. From there, if we are accepted, we will be attending a two-day orientation at the beginning of September. From what we understand, after that, the real work begins, and our deputation journey officially begins.
As we wait on the decision of the executive board, we have both been busy working to get things in order for our upcoming deputation. In addition to starting this website and blog, we have been making decisions concerning financial matters, vehicle situations, and other logistics that need to be worked out before we begin. We are also in the process of procuring the materials we will need for our display table. In short, we've been busy!
As you can see, we're eager to get to Wales. We have seen the need, and our hearts are burdened. We appreciate your prayers as we begin this new stage of our lives, and we hope you will check back often to keep up with our progress.
